About the band
Ritmo Enamorao is a 9-piece salsa and Latin jazz orchestra powerhouse comprised of some of Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey’s most talented musicians. One of the most sought-after salsa bands in the tri-state area, the band’s members hail from all corners of the world including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and America. This vibrant, charismatic ensemble draws on their rich heritage to produce commanding musical presentations full of life, spirit and energy.
Founded in 2006 in Boston, MA by flutist Michelle Pugliese, Ritmo Enamorao was originally known under the name Latin Fire. The orchestra was created with the intent to bridge the growing divide between music and dance as we depart the nostalgic era of the Palladium and Puente-inspired live mambo bands and push forward into the twenty-first century where DJ’s and digital music reign supreme. The group aims to inspire people to build communities and understanding through the sharing of music, dance and Latin culture.
More than just a great live band, Ritmo Enamorao can also provide complimentary DJ services and salsa dance lessons. For additional flair, professional Latin dancers can be provided on request. Ritmo Enamorao will customize every experience for you and are willing to meet with you on site before the event. The ensemble can also provide excellent references.
